• Articles - Each of our "on-line" presentations has a "Concierge" function allowing you to associate your business with each presentation we put up. Being found associated with the theme of an article can be a highly effective way for you to attract viewers to your business. For example, if you are a B&B in Ulster County, being found on the Hudson Valley Wineries Article makes it a simple thing for people wanting to visit the wineries to know you are right there for them to stay at. • Itineraries - Our itineraries are created to be printed out by the viewer and taken with them as guides to the Valley. The mechanism is slightly different for you to be included on an itinerary. We accept "business card" sized graphic ads and directly include them in the printing of the itinerary. This gets your business ad directly into their hands, right there in the itinerary as they plan their visit.
• Interactive Valley Map - On our Interactive Valley Map, you can associate your business with any single, or group of map grid segments. HV/Net has created two very distinct and highly interactive systems, both for you the advertiser and for the viewer. We have tailored these to maximize to you, the paying customer, the highest return on every penny you spend while providing the viewer the ability to specify what they want to know about and avoid receiving unwanted information and Spam e-mails.

Although each of these systems is different in nature, they are identical in implementation for the viewer. Each allows you to specify who gets the information and where the information will be found, reducing the number of unwanted deliveries that you are charged for.

• Discount Coupons are designed to provide the viewer with something that they must present to you, the vendor, in order to receive the discount being offered. You go into the system, design the coupon, include graphics, include text, lay out your coupon. Then you specify what the subject of the coupon is and where within the Valley it is to be found. The viewer requests to receive Discount Coupons either directly on-line during one of their visits to HV/Net or through their Opt-In E-Mail Subscription. In either case, they say what they are interested in and where geographically their interest is. Behind the scenes, we match up your specifications with theirs and only display and charge for your Discount Coupon Delivery when a match is found. This insures that the people seeing your Discount Coupon want to see it!
• Announcements work in a similar way, except they are not necessarily offering a discount. Instead, you can use Announcements to let customers know of sales, of new items, of whatever you think will bring them into your place of business. Viewers can search for relevant Announcements directly on-line or request to receive them via their Opt-In E-Mail Subscription. In either case, just like with Discount Coupons, we only deliver and charge for your Announcement when there is a match between your specifications and those of the viewer.

Both of these systems are totally interactive for you at all times. You directly maintain both, changing, adding or removing, as you see your marketing needs change. We track each Coupon and Announcement showing you how many times each has been delivered to a viewer or subscriber. If you only want to offer your Coupon to a limited number of viewers, as soon as you reach your goal all you have to do is turn it off. This allows a viewer to type in keywords and specify a section of the Valley in which to look. Once they do this, our on-line programming searches our databases for any instance of the word or phrase within all of our Business Information.

We then present the viewer with all businesses that have qualified for the query, grouped first by level of Business Information Enhancement, then alphabetically, 15 businesses at a time. On the most basic level, every word within your Business Information presentation is individually indexed and available to the Query Engine.

There are times that you may wish to have other words associated with your business. Things like nearby attractions or brand names or other words that have meaning and are likely to be used by a viewer in searching HV/Net for places to go spend their time and money. Frequently these words are just inappropriate to be included within the description you create for your business.

By purchasing "Query Engine Keywords", you are able to silently associate these words directly with a specific Business Category in which you will be found. Each group of words is Business Category specific, meaning that you can have totally different silent Query Engine Keywords for each category you are qualified into!

Query Engine Keywords are available in groups of 25. There is no enhancement level requirement for this feature.

HV/Net maintains a highly visited "Getaways" presentation allowing visitor related businesses in the Valley to create special presentations whose sole purpose is to show the businesses in it's best light and get people to click onto your web page. In theory, a "getaway" is something that you have packaged and is not available to the average customer.

In practice, this package concept can be just about anything you want. Viewers come into our Getaways presentation and click on things that are within their interest. They may be looking for a Romantic Weekend, or a Golf Outing or a Shopping Spree, only they know what interests them. If you are to be found in the interest area they want, then they click on you and are presented with a fully isolated page showing nothing but what you want them to see. It is not even branded with HV/Net's identity, it's just you.

All we require is that you provide us with either a fully implemented HTML web page, complete with either all the graphics necessary to support it or containing the necessary internal URL calls to find them. If you need, you can hire us at our standard hourly rate to create the presentation for you. Whenever you want to change your presentation, just get us the new web page! It's that simple!

Tailored specifically to accommodations, but extensible to any on-line reservations system, our "Availability" system has the capability to link directly into your on-line systems to allow our viewers to communicate directly with your systems make a reservation. If you are an accommodation, you know how important it is rapidly becoming to capture the viewer into your systems to get them to make a reservation with you, rather than with your competition. This feature of HV/Net gives you the tools to accomplish that task.

Different businesses subscribe to different reservation systems, our "Availability" system can tap directly into any that allows for a URL or Java link. Virtually all systems currently on the market allow this, otherwise they would not work from your own web site!

You can determine the best way to pay for this service from HV/Net, either through a direct quarterly payment or as a function of successful sales! Why pay us if they cancel or don't show up? HV/Net has recently brought on-line our Hudson Valley General Store. This program is intended to present quality goods and services available from producers and vendors located within the Hudson Valley.

Having your goods and services found in the General Store couldn't be simpler. All you have to do is contact us and we will do the rest for you. There is no upfront charge for you to be included, there is little work you have do to other than provide us with information and answer some questions on shipping and such. We do all the rest.

The concept of the General Store is to allow our viewers to wander through our collection of quality items, selecting things to purchase. When they are finished they check out, providing credit card information and shipping information. We process the credit card and immediately capture the funds to pay for the goods ordered. You are then immediately sent an e-mail letting you know of the purchase of your goods and where to ship them. You simply fulfill the order!

Every Friday night we rectify accounts, cutting checks to any vendor with sales for the previous 7 days, and put it in the mail to you on Saturday so you will most likely have it on Monday. We automatically deduct our percentage prior to posting you the balance.

3. Barter, such as advertising space for HV/Net's use, dinners, lodging, products and services. We will accept marketing items and/or services for periodic contests and give-aways to create excitement and generate interest continually drawing repeat visitors to HV/Net. We will accept a value of your List Price less 10% for up to 50% of your total advertising placement value. We may waive the 50% ceiling for certain types of barter, solely at our discretion.

HV/Net really does want to work with you to get as much information about your organization into our on-line presentations and attract people to you. In the case of small museums, historical societies, arts groups and other specialized not-for-profits, we will find a way, even taking full value of the advertising we offer in trade for ad space in your newsletters and other programs.
