On Sunday September 15, 2013 at 1:00am, Officers Dustin James and Joseph DeAngelis of the Village of Walden Police Department, stopped a 2013 Audi A4 on East Main Street for operating without headlights. After determining that the operator’s drivers license was suspended, 44 year old David Reeves of New York City was arrested.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found various drugs, drug paraphernalia and approximately $4,000 in cash. Some of the drugs recovered were “Crystal Meth” Methamphetamines, “Ecstasy” MDMA, Marijuana, Valium, Xanex and Hydrocodone.
Reeves was charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third degree, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and various vehicle and traffic offenses.
According to Sgt. Eric Metzger, other charges may follow.
Reeves was turned over to Orange County Jail on $5,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to Walden Justice Court on 09/18/2013.
