A 49 year old Town of Newburgh woman was indicted Monday on double murder charges for allegedly killing her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend in New Jersey in October of 2012.
Monica Mogg, was arrested October 31, 2012 in Hartford, CT for the killings of Arthur Noeldechen, 52, of Washingtonville and girlfriend Jung Yi Kim, 42, of Rivers Edge, NJ.
The indictment includes two counts each of first-degree murder, felony murder, criminal weapons possession and possessing a weapon with intent to use it unlawfully, as well as a single count each of armed burglary, stalking and hindering.
Prosecutors claim Mogg drove to Kim’s home on October 30, 2012 and entered it through a rear entrance with a rifle and a knife. She found the couple in an upstairs bedroom where she shot and killed Noeldechan. After a struggle with Kim, Mogg then stabbed her to death,fleeing the home with the weapons
If convicted of murder, Mogg faces two consecutive life terms. She is being held in Bergen County Jail on $3 million bail.
