A 49 year old Town of Newburgh woman is facing double murder charges for allegedly killing her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend in New Jersey.
Bergen County prosecutor John Molinelli said that Police in Rivers Edge, NJ, went to the home of Jung Yi Kim Wednesday afternoon for a simple welfare check and found her and Arthur Noeldechan of Washingtonville, dead.
Monica Mogg, was picked up near Hartford, CT, Wednesday after being reported missing by family members. She was charged after detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Connecticut State Police interviewed her.
Molinelli also said that Mogg had dated the 52 year old Noeldechan before, adding she had been stalking him and the 42 year old Kim for months after the relationship ended.
It is believed that on Tuesday evening, October 30, 2012, Mogg drove to Kim’s home and entered it through a rear entrance with a rifle and a knife. She found the couple in an upstairs bedroom where she shot and killed Noeldechan. After a struggle with Kim, Mogg then stabbed her to death,fleeing the home with the weapons. Accoridng to reports, those weapons have not been recovered.
Mogg was arraigned in Hartford Superior Court and is being held without bail at the York Correctional Institute in Niantic, CT, pending extradition to Bergen County.
If convicted of First degree murder in New Jersey, Mogg faces 30 years to life in prison, with 30 years being mandatory before being elgible for parole.
