Thanksgiving Schedule
Town Hall offices: closed at 2PM Wednesday and will reopen Monday at 9AM
Transfer Station: closed Friday, open Saturday.
Highway Dept will reopen on Monday

Christmas Carolling Through Gardiner Nov 30
Get ready for Christmas … Etc. … in Gardiner. Friday evening, November 30. Meet at Gardiner Gables at 7PM, caroling thru Main Street, and meet Santa Claus at the town hall for the lighting of the Christmas tree. Hot chocolate and cookies. Mark your calendar.

Town Board Approves 2013 Budget
At the Town Board Special Meeting on Nov 17, the Final 2013 Budget for the Town of Gardiner was adopted. Click here to see the budget.

CHANGE OF MEETING DATE FOR THE GARDINER FIRE DISTRICT
The regular scheduled meeting of the Gardiner Fire District, November 21, 2012 has been rescheduled for November 27, 2012, at 8 PM, due to a lack of quorum of Commissioners available.

$10 million small business emergency loan fund
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that the New York Bankers Association (NYBA) and the New York Business Development Corporation (NYBDC) have agreed to establish a $10 million small business emergency loan fund to provide immediate financial assistance for businesses impacted by Storm Sandy. Under the fund, businesses will be able to apply for loans of up to $25,000 immediately by going to www.esd.ny.gov or calling 1-855-NYS-SANDY.

STAR and Married Couples
The law on this subject has not changed.  A married couple is entitled to a STAR exemption on no more than one residence, unless they are living apart due to legal separation. If they have two homes, they can receive STAR on only one of them, unless they are legally separated.
