Three Town of Newburgh Residents Face Drug Charges After Tuesday Raids

Three Town of Newburgh residents face drug charges following early morning drug raids.

Just before dawn, Town Police, City of Newburgh Police and State Police raided two locations following a joint investigation into narcotics sales. Search warrants were executed at the following locations:

- A private residence at #18 Estate Blvd. in the Town of Newburgh.
- JDM Obsession, an automotive shop at 120 Wisner Avenue in the City of Newburgh.

Cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash were seized at 18 Estate Blvd.   Heroin and illegally possessed prescription medications were seized at the  JDM Obsession shop.

The following residents of 18 Estate Blvd. were each charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd (B-felonies):

-    Sergio Rivera, age 33
-    Glenda Viera, age 33. (Rivera’s girlfriend)
-    Krystal Viera, age 24. (Glenda’s sister)

Glenda and Krystal Viera were arraigned in Town Court and sent to Orange County Jail. Rivera will be arraigned later in the day.

Rivera is the owner of JDM Obsession auto shop.
