As the patrol officer arrived in the area he observed a male subject quickly entering the passenger side of a vehicle, that then drove off only to stop a short distance away in the area of Dubois and First Streets.

When the vehicle stopped the passenger quickly exited the vehicle and started to hastily walk away where he was approached by Sgt. Aaron Weaver. During a pat down Sgt. Weaver discovered that the subject, 18 year old Jordan Myles of the City of Newburgh, was in possession of a loaded 22 caliber Davis Industries handgun.

Myles was charged with felony weapons possession.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 18 year old Pierris Morgan of Middletown, was charged with Misdemeanor Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and issued several traffic tickets.

Both men were held pending arraignment.

There were no reported victims during the shots fired.
