Sullivan County Woman Charged in Connection With January Burglary

On Thursday February 5th, 2015 the Village of Liberty Police arrested Angela Disanto,  22 of Grahamsville after an investigation in a residential burglary in the Village of Liberty.

Police began investigating the incident when a homeowner reported a burglary to their residence on January 5th, 2015 with cash and checks stolen from the home. The investigation revealed that Disanto had broken into the home on two occasions, stolen cash and checks and had forged one of the checks and attempted to pass it at a local bank.

Disanto was charged with two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree, criminal possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree, forgery in the 2nd degree, all felonies as well as petit larceny, criminal mischief in the 4th  degree, and criminal possession of stolen property in the 5th degree, misdemeanors.

Disanto was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail to return to Town Court.

Village of Libery Police were assisted in the investigation by investigators from the New York State Police Liberty barracks.
