Winter storm warnings have been issued for the entire viewing area.National Weather Service has totals of 10-16 inches expected for the entire Mid Hudson Region.
The storm warning is in effect from 6:00 AM Friday through Noon Saturday. Snow will begin Friday morning and become more steady and heavier by late Friday afternoon. The heaviest snowfall will occur Friday evening before tappering off Saturday morning. Snowfall at times may exceed one-inch per hour.
Snow covered roads will make for very dangerous travel and residents are encouraged to avoid it when possible.
Strong winds are also expected and may cause power outages and create very low visibility.
