Services to Be Held for Former Warwick Valley High School Student Kevin Kless
Jan 17th, 2012 | By Jay Long | Category: Lead ArticleKevin Kless was a scholar athlete at Warwick Valley High School – where he excelled in baseball. He was a friend who always made others laugh. He was the youngest of three sons. Had a brand new job. He had the world in front of him. All that came to end after Kless succumbed to the injuries sustained during a savage beating at the hands of three men early Sunday morning shortly after leaving a club in Philadelphia, PA.
What is believed to be a horrible misunderstanding, three men in a passing car heard Kless yell trying to hail a cab. It has been reported that the three men stopped, exited the vehicle and started the unwarranted attack against Kless, leaving him unconscious near the steps of the historic Second Bank of the United States.
Police have no motive for the crime and very few leads as they continue to search for suspects. Police are searching for three Middle Eastern men in their 20′s. And the vehicle may have been a maroon Mazda 626, with a model year in the early 2000s.
If you have any information about the assault you are asked to contact Philadelphia police at (215) 686-3388.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 20th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. … Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday at Warwick United Methodist Church, 135 Forester Ave., Warwick, NY., followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be sent to Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19103 (215-557-8090) or WVHS Athletic Scholarship in Kevin’s name, 89 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.
