Scheduled Multi-Cultural Unity Day Festival Cancelled in the City of Newburgh

From: Newburgh, NY African American Day Parade Committee and Mass’ of One Entertainment

To the Residents of the City of Newburgh and beyond, concerning the African American Day Parade and Multi-Cultural Unity Day Festival scheduled for August 4th, 2012 at the Audrey L. Carey Family Park in Newburgh, N.Y.

We regret to say, that this event has been cancelled. Our two chair people, whom usually sponsor this parade, have suffered some major personal losses, which have made this Parade and Festival virtually impossible for them to do without the physical and financial support of the community, which we have not received.

There is a possibility of a continuance because the event team of the parade (Mass’ of One Entertainment) has incorporated with others to make the day festive. However Sponsorships, Artists and Vendors will be needed immediately.

If anyone is interested in continuing this event we welcome your assistance with next year’s event, in which we can give an overview of the event as well as assist with set-up.

We will continue progress on next year’s parade and festival and we would hope for greater support in the near future…. Thank you in advance
