Poughkeepsie Woman Charged With Stabbing Her Boyfriend to Death

On Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:14 PM, the City of Poughkeepsie Police responded to a residence on Fitchett Street for a report of a stabbing, with an unresponsive male.  Police, Fire and EMS responded to the scene and found the victim,  a 31 Year old resident of this address suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to St. Francis Hospital by Mobile Life Ambulance where he died from his injuries.

A short time later, Police located the victim’s live-in girlfriend, 22 year old Ariana Robinson. After gathering evidence, and taking statements, Robinson was arrested and charged with Manslaughter in the second degree, a Felony. She will be held at the City of Poughkeepsie lock-up pending arraignment by a City Court judge.

An autopsy will be performed by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office today, January 20, 2013 to confirm the victim’s cause of death.
