Participate in the Annual Chili Cook-off at Bethel WoodsJul 18th, 2013 | By HV Insider | Category: General Interest
Do you think you have the winning chili recipe? Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is looking for not-for- profit or community organizations to participate in this year’s Annual Chili Cook-off on Saturday, October 12 from 12:30 – 5 PM in the Event Gallery.
The Chili Cook-off is a Bethel Woods festival favorite in the region. Each year contestants vie for the bragging rights of the People’s Choice for the “best chili.” Organizations will compete in a friendly competition of culinary skills and team spirit. The event encourages teaming up of restaurants and culinary programs who would like to support a not-for-profit or community organization by preparing the chili. Participation is free, and proceeds raised from the tasting donation benefits participating organizations and their missions. Contestants must secure the appropriate Department of Health permits.
The inaugural Bethel Woods Craft Beer Festival will take place on the same day. This outdoor beer, food and music festival designed to stimulate and educate your palate through local food and unbelievable New York beer will be held in beautiful Market Sheds. Craft beers from over 25 breweries will be available for sampling against a backdrop of live music and the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Tickets to the Craft Beer Festival are not required for admission to the Chili Cook-off.
