FREE ONSITE WASTEWATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP ON JUNE 19TH IN GREENWOOD LAKE, NY
The Orange County Water Authority is inviting engineers, consultants, municipal officials, regulators, and interested citizens to a FREE one-day workshop on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Greenwood Lake, NY to learn about innovative onsite wastewater treatment technologies and to consider wastewater management options appropriate for lake communities and surrounding areas. Seating is limited – reservation required.
It will be a terrific day! We are particularly excited about the morning technical session presented by the George Loomis and Dave Kalen of the New England Onsite Wastewater Training Center and–in the afternoon–presentations by wastewater managers from three New York programs with similar concerns as Greenwood Lake. The morning session is geared toward engineers; participants are eligible for 3.0 PDH (professional development hours) through New York’s Practicing Institute of Engineering. In the afternoon session, we will hear lessons learned by the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Inspection Program, the Keuka Watershed Improvement Cooperative, and the Catskill Watershed Corporation and consider how these lessons may be applied in lake communities, such as Greenwood Lake.
