A 45 year old Orange County woman plead guilty Wednesday to the rape of a 13-year-old boy.

Lisa Franklin, of Newburgh, a former substitute teacher at the Sacred Heart School in Newburgh, plead guilty to second-degree rape, a felony. As part of the plea deal, Franklin is expected to get a prison sentence of 2 1/2 years, required to register as a sex offender and be under 10 years of post-release supervision.

Franklin admitted in court to subjecting the boy to sexual intercourse last year.

Franklin was charged in March of 2013 after an investigation by Town of New Windsor detectives. A 22-count indictment was handed down by the Orange County Grand Jury in June. She remains free on $10,000 bond pending sentencing, scheduled for Feb. 25.
