Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana announced late Monday that Laurence LaDue has been named Commissioner of the county-run nursing home The Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation. LaDue has more than a decade of experience working as a licensed nursing home administrator in the Hudson Valley. Previously, he served as Administrator of Putnam Ridge in Brewster, a 160 bed skilled nursing facility.
“It’s my pleasure to welcome Mr. LaDue to Orange County and Valley View,” said County Executive Diana. “Mr. LaDue brings with him a great deal of expertise in similar facilities and has experience with the types of programs and services available at Valley View. Most importantly, he understands the needs and concerns of the residents and their families. We wish him the very best of luck in his new position,” added Diana.
LaDue earned an M.S. in Health Services from the New School for Social Research in New York City and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University. He is a New York State Department of Health licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
This appointment is subject to approval by the Orange County Legislature.
