Newburgh Independent Living to Offer Bootcamp Fitness
May 31st, 2012 | By HV Insider | Category: Community HappeningsOn Wednesday, June 6th, The Wellness Center at Independent Living, Inc. will offer an introduction to Boot Camp Fitness workshop from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 111 Broadway in Newburgh, New York. This will be followed by ongoing 5:30PM to 6:30PM Boot Camp Fitness classes each week, beginning June 20th. There is no cost to participate; however donations are welcome as they allow us to continue and expand our program offerings.
A fitness boot camp is a type of group physical training program typically conducted by gyms, personal trainers, and former military personnel. These programs are designed to build strength and fitness through a variety of intense group intervals over a 1 hour period of time. As an active bodyguard/security consultant with a background in Boxing, Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, and close-quarter combat training (CQCT), Omar Stringfield offers a program designed to test and strengthen endurance and overall fitness.

Independent Living’s Wellness Center, located at 111 Broadway, Newburgh, NY, is open Monday through Friday between 5:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., offering two activities each evening to promote physical and mental wellness.
