On July 2nd 2012 at aprox 02:15 in the morning a vehicle was observed my New Windsor Police Officer Jeff Caldara on Route 94, driving at a high rate of speed with something large in the trunk that was causing the trunk lid to bounce up and down. As Officer Caldara was attempting to catch up to the vehicle he could see that it was a green dirt bike motorcycle hanging out of the trunk.
After pulling over the vehicle he then observed another Dirt Bike stuffed in the back seat of the vehicle with the back seat occupant.
All three males were observed the be sweating and evasive with officers and had conflicting stories as to how they obtained the motorcycles.
Upon investigation, officers observed a bright “For Sale” sign lying on the rear passengers seat with a telephone number written on it . Located in the trunk under the green dirt bike was a pair of 18″ bolt cutters.
A phone call to the number on the sign revealed that both dirt bikes were found to be stolen from a home in the Town of Blooming Grove during the night.

Rayshon T. Holmes, age 18 of Newburgh
Quran C. Nichols age 18 of Newburgh
All three were charged with 2 Counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree –Felony
And 1 count each of Possession of Burglar Tools – Misdemeanor.
Town of Blooming Grove will be investigating further and will file charges in the future.
Suspects were arraigned before Town Judge Richard Thorpe and sent to Orange County Jail on $10,000 Bail
