On June 8th, 2013, members of the New York State Police in Ellenville arrested a thrity-eight year old Ulster County man following a domestic dispute in the Town of Wawarsing.
Alfonso G. Martinez of Napanoch was charged with Assault in the third degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The investigation indicated that Martinez became involved in a domestic dispute in which he violently struck a 14-year-old numerous times during the altercation causing minor contusions and abrasions.
The 14-year-old fled the scene and was located by responding Troopers.
Martinez was arrested, processed and arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court before Town Justice Charles Dechon who remanded him to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $500.00 cash bail or $1,000.00 secured bond. Martinez is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wawarsing Court.
