Mother of Mason Decosmo Found Negligent in Toddler’s Death

Jan 19th, 2015 | By | Category: Featured Articles, Lead Article

The mother of 2 year old Mason Decosmo was found to be negligent in his death.

On Thursday, Judge Anthony McGinty stated that Kaitlin Wolfert created substantial risk of injury by leaving her sons, Mason Decosmo, and Jaxson Decosmo, 1, with her live-in boyfriend, Kenneth Stahli, which ultimately led to Mason’s death.

The boy was found dead in their Milton trailer on Aug. 5, 2014.

McGinty felt Wolfert was aware of the injuries to Mason at the hands of Stahli. Adding that she refused to take Mason to see a doctor after seeing the bruises, scrapes and signs of sickness.

Lawyers will return to court in February to determine the custody of 1 year old Jaxson Decosmo.
