City of Middletown police are looking for a Newburgh man who shot a friend in the forehead Thursday night.
Police say that suspect Tyrin Gayle, 18 fled the scene after the shooting. Police say the two were playing video games at the victim’s home on North Street in the City of Middletown when Gayle shot the victim, also 18, with a small caliber handgun around 10:00 PM.
The victim was treated at Orange Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Westchester Medical Center.
Police say that the victim is in fair condition and although the bullet did not penetrate the skull it lodged in his right ear and may have damaged his right eye.
