There are changes in the City of Port Jervis! The new telephone number for the departments of the City is going to be 858-4000. From this menu callers will be able to reach all of the departments. The direct phone numbers that existed previously will still work for a short period of time.
West End Beach opened on June 18th and Mayor Potter would like to encourage the citizens of Port Jervis to enjoy the summer along the banks of the Delaware at our beautiful beach.
Mayor performed a wedding on June 22nd that was in a beautiful location overlooking the Hawks Nest. Congratulations to Angela & Frank!
There was a devastating five alarm fire that occurred in the City of Port Jervis 3rd Ward at 106 North Orange St. Mayor Potter would like to thank the courageous Port Jervis Volunteer Fire Department as well as all of the other municipalities that came to the assistance of our City throughout this difficult fire. Mayor Potter thanks all the helping Fire Companies, as well as all of our Cities Fire Fighters that did an excellent job to put out the fire. Thankfully there was no one hurt in the fire.
On June 22nd Mayor Potter presented the International Bank of Chicago at 2 West Main St. with a welcoming certificate at their Grand Opening Ceremony. The Ceremony was beautiful from the array of exquisite food to the beautiful orange ribbon that was ceremoniously cut to open the bank. The new owners Warren and Maria Tai spoke about their customers and the reasons that they chose the Port Jervis location.
On June 25th the Summer Playgrounds will be opened and are open to the public.
