KRASNER ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR SUPERVISOR
Campaign will officially launch at event this spring
Stephen Krasner will formally launch his campaign this spring for Supervisor, where he will outline his platform and goals to improve the town.
“Our town faces significant challenges in the coming years that call for progress and pro-active solutions if we are to move our community forward. A dozen years of the same leadership have brought us higher taxes, archaic and ineffective management and a host of questionable practices and behavior. The dynasty of the current regime in Town Hall must give way to new ideas, energy and an adherence to integrity in leadership to ensure the Town of Newburgh thrives into the future. I believe the majority of folks in our town are ready for a change in our elected leadership and I intend to make sure they have that change on the ballot when they go to vote at the polls this November,” said Krasner.
This will be Krasner’s third run for public office. In 2009 and 2011 he ran against longtime incumbent Wayne Booth falling short of a win, but capturing over 40% of the votes in both races.
Krasner works in the legal industry as a Senior Paralegal in complex litigation matters. He founded and led a bipartisan advocacy group in the town and served in the United States Peace Corps for 27 months in South America.
Stephen has lived in the town since 2007 where he is a devoted father to his young daughter, Maren. Krasner received his Master’s of Science degree in Nonprofit Management from New York’s Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy in 2007. In 1999 he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hartford.
