K104 Not So Silent Night December 5

K104 is gearing up for one of their most exciting musical line ups to date for their annual “Not So Silent Night” holiday show scheduled to take place on December 5th at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie.

K104 welcomes for the first time in the Hudson Valley, Denver rock band The Fray! Performing hits like “Over My Head (Cable Car),”“How to Save a Life” and their new single climbing the charts “Heartbeat,” they are sure to make the show the best yet! Their 2nd album The Fray was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2010 and placed them #84 on Billboards “Artist of the Decade” list!

“Not So Silent Night is going to be quite the show! Grammy nominated artists The Fray, American Music awards Best New Artist Hot Chelle Rae … each year we bring a show that everyone can enjoy and this year we went above and beyond!” says K104’s promotions director, Megan Denaut.

Also taking the stage December 5th is Hot Chelle Rae. This past Sunday the four piece band from Nashville, Tennessee took home the “Best New Artist” award at the American Music Awards. Their hit single “Tonight, Tonight” undoubtedly became the anthem of the summer peaking at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July and continues to hold strong alongside their new single “I Like It Like That” featuring a collaboration with former KFEST artists New Boyz.

Dancing his way across the K104 stage next month will be Jason DeRulo! His energetic show features a  slew of radio hits from “Watcha Say,” which sold over 5 million digital downloads, to his new single “It Girl.” These chart topping hits had Jason noticed by Lady Gaga last year as he performed as her opening act for her “Monster Ball Tour.”

Making an appearance on the “Not So Silent Night” stage, before flying out to Los Angeles for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,  is Taio Cruz! The radio smash “Dynamite” became the song of 2010, earning him several Billboard awards from “Top Pop Artist” to “Top Hot 100 song” and peaked at number 1 on the US Top 40 charts! Taio’s new single “Hangover,” features collaboration with past K104 KFEST artist Flo Rida and is quickly climbing the charts!

K104’s “Not So Silent Night” hits a local chord with Andy Grammer, a Monroe-Woodbury High School graduate who will be taking the stage on December 5th. His hit “Keep Your Head Up” has been going strong since 2010 when it was named an iTunes Video of the Week for several weeks. His self-titled debut album, Andy Grammer has recently earned him the #1 spot on the Billboard New Artist chart as the former Orange County resident was also named as the “Artist to Watch” in January by Billboard Magazine!

Another local artist to performing at this year’s “Not So Silent Night” is Outasight. The Yonkers, NY artist best describes his music as “Energetic hip hop mixed with melodic soul.” His first single “Tonight Is the Night” was recently performed on FOX’s “The X-Factor” as well as currently being featured on a nation-wide Pepsi commercial.

We the Kings will also be returning to the K104 “Not So Silent Night” stage. They hit the scene back in 2008 with “Check Yes Juliet” which earned them a spot on the Vans Warped Tour, as well as spot on the Bamboozle stage in New York City that summer. Their newest single “Say You Like Me” is steadily climbing the charts and is a favorite here on the air at K104!

Making a return to the music scene on December 5th is JoJo! Her past hits include 2004’s, “Leave (Get Out)” and 2006’s, “Too Little Too Late”. JoJo’s hot new single “Disaster” is getting a lot of buzz and K104 is excited to welcome her to the “Not So Silent Night” stage!

Billboard up and comers Breathe Carolina brings their blend of dizzying electro-pop to the “Not So Silent Night” stage December 5th! The Denver duo Breathe Carolina have their eyes on superstardom with the release of Hell Is What You Make It. Their third single from the album “Blackout” earned the group MTV’s PUSH Artist of the Week! “Blackout” has been steadily climbing the Top 40 charts, landing at #34 this week. Their video for the single has reached an amazing 3.2 million views so to date! With years of constant touring and an active fan-base, Breathe Carolina are positioning themselves as a “must see” at this year’s “Not So Silent Night!”

YouTube sensation Karmin also join’s the K104 line up! The duo consisting of Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan took the internet by storm with their renditions  of songs chart hits like “Look at Me Now” by Chris Brown and Lil’ Wayne and “Super Bass” by Nicki Minaj. Karmin recently appeared to perform on Ellen and collectively the duo from Brookline, Massachusetts has more than 100 million views on YouTube.  Their first single “Crash Your Party” has received a lot of attention both on the web and on the air as they are a welcomed addition to the K104 “Not So Silent Night” line-up!

Tickets to K104’s “Not So Silent Night” can be purchased at K104online.com, in-person at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center or the K104 studios in Beacon, NY. Tickets are $37 in advance for General Admission and $74 for VIP Pit Passes. Day of show tickets will be $50.
