To celebrate all things Irish, the Port Jervis Free Library will present a concert by The Parting Glass Band on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

Admission is free.

The concert features traditional and contemporary Irish music performed by Al Gessner on button accordion, flute, and vocals; Patti Gessner on tin whistle, vocals, and percussion; and Kevin McComb on guitar and vocals.

Al Gessner has played with such groups as Green Velvet and The Bearded Lady, and has done many sessions with Jim and Mary Coogen, fellow performers of Irish music. He is the owner of Al’s Music Shop in Port Jervis. A teacher, pianist, and the wife of Al, Patti Gessner has sung Irish music her whole life. McComb works as a brass and string repairman whose roots are in Gospel. He did a stint with various rock bands, including the Irish rock group Emish.
