HVFCU Announces Spring Shredder EventsMar 31st, 2012 | By HV Insider | Category: General Interest
Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) has announced its 2012 schedule of shredding events.
With sponsorship from the Insurance Agency of the Hudson Valley, HVFCU provides a shredder truck at various locations throughout the year so its members can dispose of confidential documents in a safe manner.
In the coming months, the shredder truck will be available for HVFCU members at HVFCU’s Hyde Park Branch (April 13, 9 am – 12 pm), Pleasant Valley Branch (April 24, 2-5 pm), Civic Center Branch (May 10, 8:30-11:30 am), New Windsor Branch (May 25, 9 am – 12 pm), and their Beacon Branch (June 8, 9 am – 12 pm). Additional dates throughout 2012 as well as a list of acceptable items that can be shredded are found at the credit union’s website, hvfcu.org/about-us/shredder-truck.
During 2011, HVFCU members shredded approximately 28 tons of material at 14 events–which translates into a savings of over 450 trees; 85 cubic yards of landfill; 190,000 gallons of water; and 10,000 gallons of oil.
