Organization begins search for new leader after CEO resigns
Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. has announced that President and CEO Mike Oates has resigned from his position effective Feb. 4th. Oates will become CEO of Hudson River Ventures LLC, a small business investment fund focused on the Hudson Valley, founded by Sean Eldridge in 2011.
HVEDC has begun its search for a replacement and will accept resumes for the position through January 16th. The interview process will then take place by a selection committee the week of January 21st. Those interested in the position can send their resumes by email to Oates .
“Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation has been in excellent hands for the past 3-plus years with Mike Oates at the helm, and we will miss his energy and passion for economic development in the Hudson Valley,” HVEDC Chairman Steven V. Lant said. “He has been an innovator in economic development for this region, bringing together people in seven counties to form NY BioHud Valley and the Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance. We are thankful for his service to our organization.”
