On January 24th, 2013, the Ulster County Family & Child Advocacy Center, which is comprised of the New York State Police, Ulster County Sheriffs Office, Town of Ulster Police Department, and Ulster County Child Protective Services, with the assistance of the Ellenville Police Department, arrested Mario C. Allen, 22, who is homeless, for one count of Sexual Abuse in the first degree, a class D Felony, and one count of Endangering the welfare of a child, a class A Misdemeanor.
Mario Allen was arrested after an investigation revealed that he had sexual contact with a 5 year old female victim. The investigation revealed that the act occurred when the child was left alone in the immediate care of Allen.
This case has been referred to A.D.A. Elizabeth Culmone of the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Bureau.
Allen was arraigneed in the City of Kingston court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
