A New Windsor man has been convicted of murdering his girlfriend in July 2011.
40 year old Timothy Handel was on trial in Orange County court for the murder of his girlfriend Katie Connolly. The trial lasted nine days. The jury handed down a conviction this afternoon for one count of 2nd degree murder and two counts or tampering with evidence.
27 year old Connolly was reported missing after she was last seen on July 7 by her co-workers at QVC in Lancaster, PA. The couple had moved there in March of 2011.
