Greenville Supervisor Endorses Brabenec for Assembly

Greenville Town Supervisor George “Red” Hossann, Jr. has announced his endorsement of Karl Brabenec for New York State Assembly in the 98th District.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Karl for quite some time finding cost saving solutions for the taxpayers,” said Supervisor Hossann.  “Karl Brabenec has done great things in Deerpark and I am confident that he will make a fine representative for Greenville residents in the New York State Assembly.”

The 98th district seat was vacated earlier this year when Annie Rabbitt resigned to take office as Orange County Clerk. The 98th district includes the towns of Greenville, Monroe, Warwick, Deerpark, Minisink, Tuxedo, portions of Ramapo, and the City of Port Jervis. Karl Brabenec has been the Deerpark Town Supervisor since 2010. He announced his candidacy for the Assembly seat in December.

“Supervisor Hossann and I share the same conservative philosophy of limited government, cost savings for the taxpayers, and efficiency in services,” said Brabenec. “As town leaders, we have both experienced the challenges, road blocks, and financial burdens that New York State Government places on municipalities.  I will work tirelessly to solve these problems in Albany and I am very proud to have gained his support and confidence.”

He has been endorsed by the Deerpark, Port Jervis, and Minisink Republican Committees, in addition to Monroe Mayor James Purcell, Greenwood Lake Mayor Jesse Dwyer, and the Orange County Deputy Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association.
