Fire officials are investigating an early morning fire that ripped through a Town of Newburgh home early Tuesday morning.

The fire occurred on Hy Vue drive in the Town of Newburgh just around 2:00 AM. A family of six were home at the time. All six were able to escape unharmed.

According to reports, the mother and father were able to rescue their four children from a second floor. The mom passed all four children out of an upstairs window to her husband on the ground. She then was able to make it to safety.

The cause of the fire has not been released but officials say it appears to be accidental and not suspicious at this time.
