Dutchess Chamber Members Can Now Post Employment Opportunities OnlineJun 30th, 2013 | By HV Insider | Category: Business News
The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce now offers members the ability to post employment opportunities online at dcrcoc.org. This service is included in the cost of membership, and there are no limits to how many jobs an employer may have active at one time. The list of available positions is accessible by the community at large by visiting dcrcoc.org/jobs or via the ‘Employment’ tab of the master navigation at dcrcoc.org.
Members wishing to submit a vacant position should visit dcrcoc.org, navigate to the ‘Employment’ tab, click on ‘advertise’ and log in using their member representative information before filling out a simple form. Any member who does not know their rep login can call 845-454-1700 ext. 1000 for assistance. Postings include information like expected salary range, workplace attire and travel percentage in addition to a basic job description.
“This is a great resource for local companies to connect with local talent in the midst of a career transition,” said Charles S. North, President and CEO of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. “A lot of national job boards inundate users with available positions from miles away from their home, but dcrcoc.org/jobs is unique to the local community. We hope this free service helps companies hire local, and all local job seekers find a position right here in the Hudson River Valley.”
In addition, the Chamber has announced Wednesday, September 18 as the date for the 2013 Work Local First Job Fair. The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. More information about the fair, which includes seminars and individual resume critiquing beyond the typical job fair environment, can be found by visiting dcrcoc.org/jobfair.
