Claudia Jacobs – Goshen’s Cash MobJun 12th, 2013 | By Claudia Jacobs | Category: Lifestyle
This Saturday, June 15 at noon, the village of Goshen is having a cash mob to help businesses in the village that are effected by the closure of the Orange County Government Building 2 years ago due to Hurricane Irene.
Participants will meet in Church Park (the Village Green), on the corner of Main Street and South Church Street at noon to receive a list of vendors.
There are many stores and restaurants in the village to visit during the cash mob event or any time. A list of local vendors will be distributed at the meet up. Then explore downtown and shop and eat! Each shopper is asked to spend a minimum of $10.
As a decorator/stager who lives in the town of Goshen, there are 2 stores to visit that have the coolest inventory you’ll find. And they are right here in Goshen located in the same building!
At 10 New Street you will find 2 connected stores that feature collectibles, furniture, home décor, vintage clothing and jewelry. Old’s Cool is one store. Flood is the other.
Beth Owen, owner of the building and Flood describes her store in her own creative way, which is a great description of her store.
“I like that the shop doesn’t have a set style. Whatever catches my eye, and I love, I like to think that other people will, too. I often go through decorating magazines and see the exact same things I have in the shop. It’s fun to be able to collect coastal cottage, vintage farmhouse, Romantic French and Danish modern elements all in one store. If Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware had a child at a Paris Flea Market, it would be FLOOD.” says Beth.
While looking for accessories for a recent staging I was impressed by the inventory. Be sure to check out these stores.
You’re sure to find something that will spark some memories. Eclectic decorating is trending. These stores are great resources for achieving that look.
