Claudia Jacobs – Blueprint of a RemodelJan 22nd, 2013 | By Claudia Jacobs | Category: Lifestyle
This Saturday I will be one of the speakers of a seminar at the Builders Association called “Blueprint of a Remodel”. I believe the quality of our interior environments significantly impacts the quality of our lives. A home should be refreshed every 5 years. Remodeling a kitchen or bath opens the possibilities of updating your home and enjoying it while you are living in it but also increasing its resale value when you put it on the market.
Any homeowner who has been contemplating a remodeling project for 2013 but overwhelmed at where to begin is encouraged to attend Blueprint of a Remodel, an educational seminar brought to you by the Builders Association of the Hudson Valley in association with Hudson Valley Contracting Group. “With so many opportunities for a homeowner to be misled, deceived or outright defrauded I see it as incumbent upon the Builders Association of the Hudson Valley to provide an educational series that will help to inform the consumer and raise awareness of the need to utilize a true industry professional when undertaking any type of renovation or remodel.”, states Scott Wohl Executive Officer of The Builders Association of the Hudson Valley.
In addition to providing homeowners with valuable information on how to choose an industry professional, the event will also provide information on many different aspects that go into the remodeling process and highlight things the typical homeowner may not have considered. Angelo Ferrante, owner of Hudson Valley Contracting Group offers, “A typical remodel will include many components in order to achieve the look and function desired such as design, lighting, plumbing, appliances, and decorative applications… Blueprint of a Remodel will offer the opportunity to learn, ask questions and get answers from industry professionals.”
Monetary donations will be taken at the door to give all attendees the opportunity to give back to the community. All proceeds will benefit The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. Toni Gutter, Director of Development at Food Bank of the Hudson Valley notes, “Our Hudson Valley food programs have seen a dramatic increase in the need for food and food products over the past several years. The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley has been able to meet this rising demand. It supplies food to these programs in six counties (Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Sullivan, Putnam and Rockland) in the Hudson Valley. In 2012, the Food Bank distributed over 12 million pounds of food. Thanks to Builders Association their donation could not have come at a better time!”
The event is scheduled for this Saturday, January 26th from 9am – 1pm and will be held at The Builders Association of the Hudson Valley located at 1161 Little Britain Road in New Windsor, NY. Registration begins at 8:30am and light refreshments will be served. For more information please contact Debbie at 845-294-9068.
