City of Newburgh Power Outage Closes Orange County Offices Monday

A power outage Monday morning, in the City of Newburgh forced Orange County Government to close its office in the City to clients until the power had been restored.

Power had been restored by early afternoon. Orange County Government Offices in the City, including 130, 141, and 280 Broadway, are once again open to the public to serve the needs of County residents.

“We appreciate the hard work and fast action of the employees at Central Hudson as they worked to restore power in the City of Newburgh as quickly as possible,” said County Executive Edward. A. Diana.

The outage affects the Orange County Government locations at 130 Broadway, 141 Broadway, and 280 Broadway. County departments affected included District Attorney, Social Services, Health, Motor Vehicles, Mental Health, and Probation. The outage also caused several closings throughout the city, including Horizon on Hudson school.
