City of Newburgh Police Make Felony Drug Arrests After Friday Morning Search Warrant

On Friday March 1, 2013 at approximately 9:15 AM members of the City of Newburgh Police Narcotics Unit, the Detective Division and the Neighborhood Stabilization Unit served a court authorized search warrant at 154 North Miller Street Basement apartment in the City of Newburgh.

The search warrant was the result of a month long investigation into drug sales from the basement apartment. The search warrant resulted in the recovery of approximately 56 grams of cocaine, 25 glassine envelopes of heroin and the arrest of four people.

The following people were arrested as a result of this search warrant;

1. Carpeah Nyenekor, a 60 year old male and resident of the apartment, was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.

2. Junior Parker, a 45 year old male from New Windsor, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree.

3. Daphne Hill, a 38 year old female of Newburgh, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.

4. Judy Cobb, a 41 year old female from Cornwall, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree.

Nyenekor and Parker are currently under parole supervision.

All persons arrested were booked and held pending arraignment in Newburgh City Court.
