City Manager Richard F. Herbek has announced that City of Newburgh Comptroller Cheryl Gross will be leaving to accept a position with an area school district. Her last day will be Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
“Cheryl has served the City well since December, 2010,” said City Manager Richard F. Herbek. “She has been with us through some of the most challenging financial times the City has ever faced, and she has been invaluable in helping us to chart and maintain a more fiscally responsible course. I wish her all the best in her new endeavor.”
Kathryn Nivins, the City’s Junior Accountant, will serve as Acting Comptroller until a new Comptroller is found.
