Celebrate the 4th of July 2013 in NewburghJun 21st, 2013 | By HV Insider | Category: Community Happenings
In the City of Newburgh, it wouldn’t be July 4th without fireworks. This year’s celebration will once again be spectacular, thanks to another successful collaboration with the Greater Newburgh Partnership (GNP). Fireworks will be launched from a barge on the Hudson River on Thursday, July 4 at approximately 9 p.m.
“The community always looks forward to July 4th. Last year, thanks to the GNP, we had an impressive fireworks display, and we are so pleased that they are sponsoring the 2013 fireworks as well,” said Deputy Mayor Regina Angelo, who has organized the celebration since the 1970’s, and is co-chairing the 2013 event with Damien Brady, General Manager of Torches on the Hudson.
Events will begin at noon at UNICO Park at the waterfront. Artist/Vendor space is available on a first-come, first served basis for $50. Please contact Ann Kuzmik at 569-7354 or Deputy Mayor Regina Angelo at 565-5429 for an application or information.
The schedule is as follows:
