John P. O’Shea, E. Richard O’Shea and Jim Coughlan selected to receive 2012 Dutchess “Distinguished Citizen” Awards from Boy Scouts of America!
The Hudson Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America is proud to have selected Jim Coughlan, Dutchess County Comptroller, E. Richard O’Shea, First Mortgage Corp, and John P. O’Shea, Marshall & Sterling to receive the 2012 Dutchess County Distinguished Citizen Award at a reception to be held from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie.
The prestigious “Distinguished Citizen” Award is presented to individuals who exemplify in their daily lives the ideals found within the Boy Scout Oath and Law. They truly personify all of the ideals found within the Scout Oath and Law.”
Past “Distinguished Citizen” Award Recipients have included Honorable William Steinhaus (2011), Page Park Associates (2011), Charlie North (2010), Austin “Brud” Hodgkins (2009), David MacFarland (2008), Joe Bonura (2006), Ralph Ellis (2005), Sheriff “Butch” Anderson (2004), and many other prominent Dutchess business leaders.
Serving as Chairman for the dinner is William Grifiths Jr., Senior Vice President for Commercial Lending at Rhinebeck Bank. The emcee will be the very entertaining Sheriff “Butch” Anderson. To date, more than $26,000 has already been raised, and there is still time to take part.
The Hudson Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America currently serves more than 8,500 young people through Scouting in the New York Counties of Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Sullivan and Pike County in Pennsylvania.
