Sep 30th, 2013 | By | Category: Lead Article

The New York State Police in Monroe assisted with the recovery of a body found floating in the Hudson River near Iona Island and the Bear Mountain Bridge at approximately 9:30am Monday morning.  Officials have not confirmed the identity, but feel it may be the body of Long Island shooting suspect Sang Ho Kim.

The body appears to have been in the water for several days and at this time members of the Troop F Forensic Investigation Unit are working with the Rockland County Medical Examiners Office and the Nassau County Police in an effort to provide a positive identification of the remains.

According to police, the body does appear to be that of a middle age Asian male.

Hudson Valley Insider will continue to follow this story and release more details once they become available.
