Body Found Upstate in Hudson is Confirmed Missing Albany Area ManMar 30th, 2012 | By HV Insider | Category: Featured Articles
The New York State Police confirm that a body was found in the Hudson River on March 28, 2012 at approximately 1:00 PM. The deceased has been identified as Marcus K. Johnson, 38, who was reported missing on November 23rd of last year and was last seen in the City of Albany. He was a SUNY Albany student and was employed at the Hilton Garden Inn across from SUNY at the time of his disappearance. The deceased was dressed in winter type clothing and was found 20 feet from the shoreline tangled in sunken trees by Park Rangers on routine patrol at the Saratoga Battlefield in Stillwater, NY. Rangers then immediately notified the State Police.
The body was removed from the scene yesterday by the State Police and an autopsy was conducted today at Albany Medical Center in which results of his death revealed no signs of foul play. Positive identification of Johnson was made and out of state relatives have been notified by officials.
State Police continue to investigate the circumstances of Johnson ending up in Saratoga County and ask that anyone with information contact Sate Police Investigators in Saratoga at 899-2319.
