Body Found in Hudson River May Be Jumper
Sep 24th, 2012 | By Jay Long | Category: Featured ArticlesCity of Newburgh Firefighters pulled a body of a man from the Hudson River Sunday morning after a bridge walker notified police.
State Police reported that a pedestrian walking the Newburgh Beacon Bridge spotted the body floating in the middle of the river shortly after 9:00 AM Sunday morning. Authorities would not say if the body found was that of the man who jumped from the center span of the bridge on Thursday evening.
Orange County medical examiners office was called in to help identify the body.
