On Friday, Assemblymember Didi Barrett (D – Hudson) hosted the ‘Grand Opening’ of her new district office located on Raymond Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The event, attended by more than 60 people, provided Barrett with an opportunity to chat with constituents and local elected officials, and to welcome them to her new office.
“I am very excited to be in our new district office on Raymond Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie. This is a walkable neighborhood with homes, businesses and schools nearby and it is easily accessible to folks in a number of the Towns in our District,” Assemblymember Barrett said. “I have always worked to be as available as possible to the families that I represent and I encourage my constituents to stop by.”
Assemblymember Barrett’s new Poughkeepsie Office is located at 12 Raymond Avenue, Suite 105 in Poughkeepsie, across from the Bank of America. Working with the Dutchess Arts Council, Barrett’s office will feature a rotating gallery of works by local artists. Currently on display is work by Town of Poughkeepsie artist Lynn Esteban.
As a result of decennial legislative redistricting, Assemblymember Barrett’s previous district office, located in Red Hook, now lies in the newly created 103rd Assembly District. Barrett, whose district extends more than seventy miles north to south and covers parts of Dutchess and Columbia Counties, has an additional district office in Hudson in Columbia County, located at 751 Warren Street.
