5th Annual African American Parade and Unity Day August 17

The African American & Multicultural Unity Day Celebration Committee proudly presents the 5th Annual African American Parade & Multicultural Unity Day Celebration which will be held on the 17th of August, 2013 in the City Of Newburgh.

The parade will line up at 11am via Monument St to line up on Bay View Terrace. Marching will begin at 12 (noon)  at South Junior High School located on Monument Street.

The Unity Day Celebration will commence at 2pm at the Mayor Audrey L. Carey Park, located on Liberty Street.

This day was created to celebrate the many diversities of the Newburgh community and to celebrate its various ancestors. This day is to give honor Newburgh’s past and to do it in unity. This event encompasses the rich culture and diversity of all races, creeds, and genders.

This is a grassroots movement that requires all of the community to make this event a success.

The festival is currently seeking donations, various performer’s,  vendors, marchers for the event,  and all marching bands Welcome, and needed.
